Six competitors' public prices, read on 31 July 2026, converted into what a single published listing actually costs you — and where the per-photo headline stops telling the truth.
Published virtual staging prices span from $0.53 to $24 per photo. That 45x spread is not a market anomaly — it is two different products sold under one name: a human retoucher billing per image, and an AI platform billing per credit or per subscription. The number that decides an agent's budget is neither of those. It is the cost per listing published, because a listing is 8 to 12 photos, not one.

CasaNova's own figures come from the product pricing catalogue, not from an estimate. Competitor figures are read from their public pricing pages and dated.
| Criterion | Subscription platforms (incl. CasaNova) | Per-image services |
|---|---|---|
| What gets billed | A monthly plan: a number of properties or credits, with photos included. | Each individual image, ordered and paid for one at a time. |
| Published price | Virtual Staging AI: $16/mo for 6 photos ($2.67 each) to $79/mo for 150 photos ($0.53 each). PhotoUp: $1.50 per on-demand credit, AI staging from 3 credits per image. REimagineHome: $14 to $99/month across 30, 200 and 400 monthly credits. CasaNova: €42/mo for 3 properties (€1.40/photo) to €179/mo for 20 properties (€0.90/photo). | Styldod: $23 per image under 8, $16 per image at 8 or more. virtualstaging.com: $24 per image, $19.20 in volume. Apply Design: $10 per Apply Coin under 9 coins, $7 at 20 or more. |
| Turnaround | Rendered in-platform. Virtual Staging AI advertises a 10-second turnaround. | Styldod quotes 24–48 hours, with 24-hour delivery at +$6 per image and 12-hour at +$12. virtualstaging.com quotes a 24-hour ETA with 4-to-8-hour rush delivery. |
| Revisions | Re-render as many times as the plan's credits or included photos allow. | Styldod and virtualstaging.com both advertise unlimited free revisions — a human redoes the work. |
| Where it wins | Recurring volume, where a fixed monthly cost beats a variable per-image invoice. | Occasional listings, or work that needs a human eye on a difficult room rather than a model's best guess. |
A listing is not one photo. Take 10 photos as the working unit — inside the 8-to-12 range a full listing normally needs — and the published per-photo prices resolve into very different monthly budgets.
At Styldod's bulk rate of $16 per image, ten photos come to $160. At virtualstaging.com's volume rate of $19.20, the same ten photos come to $192.
Virtual Staging AI's Enterprise plan is $79/month for 150 photos, or $0.53 each — about $5.30 for ten photos, capped at 15 listings a month. CasaNova's 10-property plan is €99/month for 100 photos, or €9.90 per listing.
A cheap per-photo rate is only cheap inside its monthly cap. Virtual Staging AI's $0.53 rate requires the $79 Enterprise tier; its entry plan is $2.67 per photo, five times more — for six photos a month, which is not one full listing.

One staged photo. A full listing needs eight to twelve of these, which is where per-image pricing compounds.

Every additional room shown is another billable image on a per-image plan, and no extra charge on a per-property one.
Take your listings per month, multiply by the photos each one needs, and compare that against the per-image quote you already have.
